In Ylitornio, just next to city of Rovaniemi, nature protection is at risk. City government of Rovaniemi will give an opinion to nature reserve tomorrow on Monday. The mayor has proposed that nature reserve should not be supported, because it could disadvantage the work of the Kanadian Mawson Resources Limited, who is looking for ore in the area. We commented the case in the regional newspaper and hope that there would be some Greens in the city government in Rovaniemi. Currently there is none. The next municipal election is in a year. We are looking for candidates!
