I work at the University of Lapland's Faculty of Art and Design as an assistant professor in the field of art education and in various projects related to art, pedagogy, and regional development. My work has taken me to different parts of Lapland and the Barents region. I consider the North my home.
I served as the chair of the board of the Artists' Association of Lapland from 2012 to 2022, promoting the working conditions of visual artists and striving to increase the accessibility of art and culture in Lapland. I am also a Green councilor in Rovaniemi. I promote nature conservation in Lapland and participate in politics seeking solutions to the climate crisis and social issues.
